A Servant’s Heart Camp

A Servant's Heart Camp  A Servant's Heart Camp, our DOSA Middle School Summer Service Program, will be held Jjune 26-29. We will gather each day at 9:00 a.m. and finish by 3:00 p.m. Eace morning will begin with prayer and community building activities before each group is sent forth to their job sites.  The job sites will vary each day. They are all non-profit organizations that are equipped to handle a large number of volunteers. To date we will be working with: The City Rescue Mission, Sanctuary on 8th Street, Clay County Habitat for Humanity, Seamark Ranch, Hope Therapy, Somer's Garden, and Foster Hope.  At the conclusion of each day we will have a closing prayer and the opportunity to faith share. Thursday is a day of thanksgiving and celebration for a job well done! We will attend the 9 am mass and then head to the bowling alley, bowl, play laser tag, and eat lunch.

All are invited and welcome to this beautiful celebration of our Students as they ready for a new school year. What to expect? Celebrate the success of World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon. A Blessing of all of the students who are headed back to school. Spend time in Adoration and offer Prayers for Our Young Church, especially keeping in mind their special intentions. Cool off with an ice-cream social with music, fun and more. Everyone is invited. Teens and Young Adults come with your friends and enjoy a special evening together. 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 2400 Mayport Rd. There will also be an opportunity to give the gift of Faith to a young person by donating to Rise Up. All money will go towards Rise Up events where we welcome over 500 young people who encounter Christ. All donations are tax deductible.

National Catholic Youth Conference

National Catholic Youth Conference November 16-18, 2023  "Fully Alive" Indianapolis, Indiana Diocese of St. Augustine Delegation WHAT:  The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting, biennial four-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones.  The schedule includes general and concurrent sessions addressing a wide variety of topics including forgiveness, Catholic spirituality and prayer, global issues, sexuality, and leadership.  There are also opportunities for liturgy and special activities such as a concert and exhibits. WHO:  NCYC is open to all Catholic high school age youth and their chaperones.  The majority of youth participants are between 16 and 18 years old.  Chaperones must be a minimum of 21 years of age.  All parishes in our Diocese are encouraged to have their youth participate in this national event. WHERE:  Indianapolis, Indiana. Keynotes and major sessions will be held in Lucas Oil Stadium while concurrent sessions, workshops, and the thematic park will be in the Indianapolis Convention Center. We will be housed downtown within walking distance of the Stadium and Convention Center.WHY: Youth and adult participants attend the NCYC because they want to: • Gather on a national level. • Learn more about themselves and their relationship to the Catholic Church. • Celebrate their Catholic Christian faith. • Meet thousands of other Catholic youth. • Share beliefs and experiences. • Recognize their role in the larger Catholic Church.
